Be Bold In Blue - MS Awareness Week

 Today marks the beginning of MS awareness week, which is running from 24th - 30th April 2017. This year their campaign is themed BE BOLD IN BLUE, a colour naturally associated with the MS Trust.
Last year, on 10th March to be exact, I woke with limited vision in my left eye. As the day went on, the vision dwindled until I could see nothing. This was followed by numerous hospital visits, MRI scans and if I had a pound for every nurse that asked 'how many fingers am I holding up' I could be very rich indeed. However, last September, my life changed. I learned that I had suffered from Optic Neuritis, a swelling of the optic nerve which blocked by vision. I then was told that my nerve swelled up so quickly that it caused permanent damage and I will forever have limited vision in my left eye. My doctor then went on to tell me that I had 7 legions on my brain and that he was diagnosing me with Multiple Sclerosis.

My world crashed around me.

To this day there are only a handful of people who know my story and while most have been incredibly supportive, I still feel uncomfortable talking about it.

So, with this in mind, I wanted to share my support of the MS Trust campaign BE BOLD IN BLUE in the only way I know how. My love of make-up.

I am not one to usually wear such a stand out colour on my eyes, I am very much a neutral girl through and through.

Products Used;
MAC Eyeshadow in Club
SEVENTEEN Eyeshadow in Viva Diva
MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy
ARDELL lashes in  Demi Wispies
SLEEK Solsticehighlighting Palette
KAT VON D Liquid Lipstick in Lolita II

I surprised myself in really liking this look, although it is by no means an 'everyday' look, it is something that I would wear on a special occasion.
