MAC Haul

When I heard that a new MAC store had opened in Queensgate, Peterborough, I knew immediately that I needed to check it out.
Over the years, my love of MAC products has grown extensively, having first discovered the brand through watching Lollipop26. I remember my first visit to a MAC counter, it was there that my fate was sealed. Upon learning that MAC was opening in my home town, I wasted no time in heading to the store and finding out what they had on offer.

The store itself was laid out in the same way as most MAC stores, everything perfectly organised and well stocked. It was relatively early in the morning yet there were a couple of shoppers browsing the store. As I wandered round and wanted to pick up some of the items, I asked 3 different girls if they could get a product out for me to which I was met with a very snappy 'I am with a customer' from all of them. However, the lovely girl behind the check out fully redeemed my experience, briskly collecting everything I'd picked from around the store, chatting animatedly about why she loved each product I picked and all round making me feel welcome.

Enough about the experience, you're all gagging to find out what I picked up!

For years, I have wanted to try out Club and Nylon. Two of the shades that receive a lot of recognition in the online world.

L: Nylon R: Club

I picked up a blush in Melba, which is a matte pink blush. I was surprised at how quickly I fell in love with this blush. It is very pigmented, pairs well with any make-up look and lasts on the skin.

Of course, I couldn't leave without picking up a new Painterly paint pot, one of my favourite eyeshadow primers doesn't crease. I also thought I would try and new one in the form of Indianwood. A creamy version of MAC Woodwinked, it is a lovely golden bronze and compliments my blue eyes wonderfully.
